Regent's Park

Aaaand... the trench coat makes a reappearance! This was about two weeks ago, when the Nugget and I trekked to Regent's Park for a stroll because the weather was fairly nice (it's not anymore, and it's horrible this week!) before dinner at a friend's house. We went there without knowing there were going to be so many flowers in bloom – and lo and behold, these photos came to be, because we had the nice camera out as well. I'm channelling my inner ~fashion blogger~, can you tell?

Unfortunately that weekend was the last day where my coat still had both its shoulder straps still intact, because I went and lost it when I was straddling the camera out the following week :( the 381 bus was the last place it will remain... Well, that's enough of me being sentimental. Now I just hope no one will notice the oddity of one shoulder being strapless when I'm wearing it out next.

I'm taking a break today, after handing in three papers totalling 9000 words, with my next one due Wednesday... Hope everyone is having a lovely start to the week, let me know what you're up to and any exciting plans coming up :)

Ooh, and Nugget and I watched Avengers on Friday last week and I really liked it - a good fun, action film with pretty good looking people are always a plus in my book ;)

Burberry Bisous

Well hello hello. Thanks to my dead tulips which still had really pretty petals, I bring you some artsy fartsy shots of the Burberry Kisses Nude Pink lipstick that came in the mail via a gift from my friend Daphne (who is like THE beauty blogger I know) who shared it to me on Twitter - big addict of Twitter, got to keep up with my politics as you will find most my RTs are - and cue to a bored moment of writing papers....

I like this color pretty much because it's a nice creamy pink (I don't know how beauty bloggers describe their product with such detail oh god) but it's a really cute, fuss-free lip color that I'd like to have on my lips for the sunnier spells we've been having. I paired it with my brand-new and on sale (hell yeah) sweatshirt jumper from Monki  for a quick grocery trip for my Asian supplies the other day and thought you guys would like to see me being all weird.

Also my jumper says 'Dare Rare' if you were wondering. I sure was, because I don't really know what it means but it's super comfy and I love it so much!

Hope everyone is having a lovely week, I've been listening to the latest Freakonomics podcast (which I love) and trying to get through my last paper! Let me know what you're up to this week so I can be eternally jealous of your exciting lives ;)

Bisous! (how befitting)

Bloom

I know what you're thinking, "she's really churning it out these days!" – hell yeah I am, because this is basically my stress-free distraction from all the writing I've been doing for the past two weeks, and potentially for the next few months. So I guess you guys can either stick around or leave, I don't mind! It's also spring, which you saw from my previous post, hence the influx of photos - especially when I nabbed some discount tulips from the nearest Tesco express which made me a happy happy child.

And when you have said tulips, you seize the opportune moment with sunlight to take about 100 shots before getting the 'winning shot' of your tulips. Which is what I did. I also wanted to take a picture of my gorgeous Anna Sui blush (gift c/o my mother as usual) with roses imprint before it faded as I use it religiously in the spring months to come!

I also took a quick break from writing and was pleasantly surprised by Tate Britain's lates on Friday - apparently they've just resumed it so definitely something to check out if you're wondering what to get up to on your Fridays. I also took the chance to finally finally bring out my beautiful camel trench that I brought during Black Friday sale for a quick spin around :) I've literally been waiting for the weather to warm up!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, ooh, and let me know what your favorite piece of clothing is during Spring ;)

Welcoming Spring

Nevermind that it's way past my bedtime but I was editing these photos (and it sure took me a long time) and I got all excited and was hoping to share it with my my secret audience of 5 (or less)! Spring is here (well at least for now) this week in London - highest of 20 degrees are you kidding – I opened the door Tuesday morning after getting back from Easter weekend to see the sun out and my bicycle is the prettiest of sunlight! Then I hung some clothes and took the picture. I'm not going to lie, I thought it'd look cooler with the clothes and colours there.

This morning I slathered on some Nuxe lip balm and I can't believe we were apart for four days during the Bank Holiday - explains why my lips got seriously sore and chapped. Reunion with a pot of honey jar.

Matt and I went to Stowe Gardens on Easter Sunday while we were back in Buckingham, and here's a couple of miracle outfit snaps, where I have a bajillion spots and minimal makeup but thanks to the sun, I don't look too shabby. We had strawberry jam bagels in the morning, watched Liam Neeson do his thang in Taken 3... sometimes you gotta have some cheesy action films in your life, y'know?

How was everyone's Easter weekend? :)
