Am I upping my SEO game or what, guys?!?!?
Basically I have recently amassed a box of makeup totalling to a small nation. I've become a VIB member as a result of this too, and I feel the shame coming on. So my parents came visiting last week and my mother kindly lugged a box of Sephora products back for me when she went to Canada. This is probably a fraction of the things I've got, and I thought I'd separate the products into different categories for different posts? Let me know if you're interested in peeking into the other things I got from Sephora....
Here are a few lip products I had my eye on, and let us all embrace in the goodness of the unopened packaging (I swear we pay 40% for packaging) and its pristine form before I use them in my haphazard way. As you can see, it came in a repackaged Origins box next to my new PJs while we were away in Cornwall for a holiday...
Let's go! First thing I was super excited to use was BareMinerals' Marvelous Moxie in Light It Up, something my mother actually recommended when she got her own when she was in Canada, but also from reading lots about it in the ~big blogger world~. It's got a delicious creamy sheen, extremely moisturising and has great colour coverage! They've got a great selection of colours too so I'm definitely checking out their other options when I've gone through this big stash of mine.
Next we have the infamous Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Zin, and I basically picked this because my lip collection is made up of reds and oranges (which I always ending up picking for some reason); and the description of it being a muted berry just sorta won me over, y'know? I mean I think my subsconscience thought I could be some sort of Asian Kendall (? Kylie?) Jenner or something... but it's ravishingly (how do you bloggers come up with descriptions?!?) creamy and easy to apply, and the colour I picked is a muted and a mature berry colour, great for those days you want to go out and look classy in an oversized sunglasses! It adds a very subtle sophisticated flair to your face and outfit and I really like it :)
This is probably a Youtube-fuelled purchase, but the Sephora Cream Lip Satin is a great little number, especially in Strawberry Kissed, which is the one I have. It's a delightful and playful colour, and it's very saturated and looks good on practically anyone (and trust me, my skin is the weirdest shade)... A lot of people have compared it to the Bourjois lip creams, but I think the Sephora one applies more easily and stays put more! It's my current favourite at the moment woohoo. Not too sure how I feel about the smell though which many people love... I tend to like my lip product in a neutral smell? Am I the only one?
Hello Josie Maran Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil! It's so pretty, like a watercolour tube... Mine is in Endless Guava, and since I haven't started using it yet I can only comment on how nice it looks so... that's that. Sorry everyone. But I have a good feeling about it! And probably will be good for lazy weekends where you want just that added colour on your cheeks!
My mum actually got me the Pacifica Enlightened Gloss and Creamy Lip Butter in Lava from a natural beauty store, as well as the Hurraw lip balms which I've tried before and it smells so good oh my gosh and I can't wait to use them because my lips are the worst and gets cracked all day all night and it ain't stoppin. I just realised that was in one full sentence but they do smell that good.
Did you enjoy this? Please let me know because I'm not great at talking about products/makeup in general but love discussing it :) Also should I do the rest of the products I bought (cough Hourglass cough)? Let's be friends and talk below - have you tried any of these before and what did you think, otherwise what have you been up to lately?
(Pardon my over-excitement, basically been writing all day about politics so it's a sigh of relief from my end!)
